Crane (Princeton University Class of 1945) was president of the D. Van Nostrand Company, publishers of trade, technical, and scientific books. Originally based in New York City, the company relocated to Princeton, New Jersey in 1955. Crane was the fourth member of his family to head the company since 1888. From the description of D.
